NEXUS [Alpha Version]

In between all the worlds in the multiverse sits the Nexus. It is a reality where those forever thought lost are found again, where the heroically brave find themselves in their quest for glory, and where the truly desperate go in search for last-ditch solutions…

This world is an otherworldly mixture of all possible realities, and yet none of them at the same time. Pockets are found where the characteristics of one world shine more clearly than others, an oasis of stability. Elsewhere, the terrain is jagged and misshapen with dimensions overlapping and reality itself tries to make sense of it all at once…

Welcome to the Nexus, a 20-page 2-player miniature skirmish game where you use whatever models you have in your miniature collection to assemble into warbands. Fight against other warbands where the worlds collide and reality splinters, twists, and turns, all in pursuit of fame and fortune… Which is all just an excuse to use whatever models you want to play with to fight your friends with whatever models they want to play with.

This was inspired by the 3 verses of the #chess28 manifesto published by Mike Hutchinson of Planet Smasher Games.

This is an early alpha version of Nexus, so don’t expect things to be balanced. Instead, expect a weird, potentially half-functioning game, from a person that is writing a miniature game for the sake of writing something, almost as an art challenge. Feedback would definitely be appreciated, but I’m still learning the ropes, so be kind and specific, please.

So get out there, choose some cool models you haven’t used in a while, or kitbash some up for the fun of it.
